Testimonials Luciano's Restaurant Queenstown

“Definitely Surprised by the place …”
‘Walked into the restaurant and were lucky enough to get the last table! We were expecting an italian brasserie style restaurant so were quite impressed by the presentation and the style of the food and were definitely surprised by the place! The food was good, both meat and fish were well cooked and accompanied by nice sides.’
“Imaginative, well presented … exquisite”
On a night when many restaurants in Queenstown were empty, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table... but it was worth the wait. Service was friendly, attentive and casual. Antipasto, olives and breads were tasty, and we ran out of olive oil, so they brought us more. Starters were imaginative, and well presented, and the mains were exquisite in taste and presentation.
Our waitress was lovely, attentive and helpful. Our first reading of the menu suggested just standard "italian" fayre, but the food was much better than that, the signature beef fillet was superb. The evening was greatly enhanced by our waitress' attempts at italian accent when serving spagetti bolognese.
“Pork belly was to die for”
The whole menu looked tempting however we decided on garlic cob bread to start, Beef and Pork Belly. The bread was fresh with a good amount of garlic not too overpowering and the salsa was beautiful. My pork belly was to die for…, my partners beef according to him was the best he's ever had. We had a sangiovese which went well with our meals. I cannot remember the name of our sticky but it was a perfect finish to our evening. The service was great our waiter, (a male probably about 25) could read us like a book he had great timing and knew when we wanted something, ten points to that guy he made the night perfect. I would highly recommend Lucianos for great service and food.
“The food is always excellent”
I LOVE this place, as do many many locals. The food is always excellent, the staff friendly and it never disappoints!
“Continually hits the mark”
I have dined at Luciano's for over 2 ½ years on a fortnightly basis and have never been to a restaurant which continually hits every mark. Having a great meal & dining experience is rather easy to achieve but to be able to provide the exceptional quality of service, food etc over & over again is very hard to come by. I love the fact that the menu changes ever so slightly every 8-10 weeks ensuring that I am always trying a new dish. When someone comes to Queenstown and asks’s me where to go for dinner, I tell them go to Luciano’s, you’ll love it!
“Best value for money in town”

“Best meal I have eaten out for a ling time!
Great feel to the restaurant, near the wharf just near the minus 5 bar. The staff are really friendly. I ate here on two occassions as it was so good … The beef was a rib eye cutlet (large enough for my partner to be satisfied - it was very decent) which had been aged for 90 days and slow cooked for 3 hours - priced at NZ$29 which included potato this was a very good deal. The local wine that was recommend was an excellent match. I also tried the spaghetti bolognaise which was delicious. I shared a dessert with my partner, rich chocolate cake and chocolate icecream and it was unbeleivable. The liquor coffee after dinner was also a hit. I can't think of one thing to complain about, this is the best meal I have eaten out for a long time!

“By far the best restaurant we visited”
By far the best restaurant we visited was Lucianos on Steamer Wharf. The Italian eatery was a buzz with happy activity. Hubby partook in a tasty sour dough pizza, while I indulged in the best beef I have ever tasted… ever.
The three hour slow roasted aged, grilled rib eye steak was served on a creamy double baked gratin with roast vegetables and a rosemary jus topped with a refreshingly tasty pesto. Words cannot impart the symphony of flavours that leaped from the dish.
